Title: Newton's dynamics and laws of motion

1
The dynamics of Newtons laws
  • By Justin Arnett

2
dynamics
  • Dynamics is the study of forces which cause
    motion

3
Gravitational forces
  • The first one is gravitational is the smallest
most observable. Say you held two tennis balls in
the air and drop them they will land at the same
    time.

4
Magnetic forces
  • Produced by moving electrical forces
  • Example-two magnets pulling toward each other in
    space

5
Electrical forces
  • The force that occurs when pushing on electrons
  • The biggest observable force
  • A nucular force and weak reaction forces are
unobservable because they are located in the
    nucleus

6
Newtons 3 laws
  • By Justin Arnett

7
Newtons first law
  • An object at rest must stay at rest unless acted
    upon by an opposing force
  • An object in motion must stay in motion unless
acted upon by an opposing force
  • Example-when you are playing football if you
dont catch it will go past you

8
Newtons 2 law
  • Acceleration occurs by Appling force to the
    magnatude of the force
  • Example-you get more acceleration from pulling a
small box instead of a large bog

9
Newtons 3 law
  • For every action there is an opposing action
    force
  • Example-when you sit in a chair you produce a
force downward and the chair produces an opposing
    force

10
Formulas
  • By Justin Arnett

11
Fma
  • Is how the second law of motion is often written
  • Example- when you are playing baseball if you
want to hit the ball farther you increase the
acceleration or the mass of the bat

12
Mf/a
  • MF/A
  • Mass equals force divided by acceleration

13
AF/M
  • AF/M
  • Acceleration equals force divided by Mass

14
WMG
  • WMG
  • Weight equals mass times gravity

15
MW/G
  • MW/G
  • Mass equals weight divided by gravity

16
GW/M
  • GW/M
  • Gravity equals weight divided by mass
