2This is a tutorial to some of the features of
Photo Pos Pro version 1.2.1. The main focus is on
editing an image. The tutorial will be followed
by a quick comparison to Adobe Photoshop. You
can find this program at www.download.com.
3File Menu
Edit Menu
To begin editing your image, you want to go
to FileOpen Then choose the image you want to
edit OR You can copy and paste an image by going
to EditPasteAs new image
4View Menu
Image Menu
You can zoom in or zoom out, or view the image at
full screen. This allows you to pay closer
attention to detail when you are editing.
5You can change the size of the picture based on
your unit of choice and if you wish, the aspect
ratio will stay the same.
You can also resize the board through units of
your choice.
6There is a textures and patterns function.
7Side Toolbar
Written next to each icon is what the icon either
is or does.
8- Choose a tool on the left side of the screen.
- Press F2 to get more options for that tool.
- Some of the options are shown here.
9This is the box that comes up when you press the
text over path button on the side toolbar.
You can make text such as this.
10To make text such like that which was shown
previously, do the following steps
File -gt New Change the color to transparent. On
the right side of the screen, choose two
different colors that you would like the text to
be. Choose the text over path button Click on
the center of the board and move the wave to the
size you would like In the box that comes up,
type the text you would like. Change the color
transitions to this Click the advanced tab and
change the feather option to 5. Change the
gradient cycle to 60. Press okay. Save the image
as a gif file
11Colors
- Here you can edit the brightness/contrast
manually or automatically, as well as hues and
saturations of colors. - Other options include grayscale, negative, and
setting the color of what the background would be
for a transparent .gif file

- Filters can be used for removing red eye,
sharpening, or even blurring an image
Custom blur
13Effects
- Effects can alter the appearance of a picture
without the use of another layer.

14- On the right there are two floating tool bars.
The first is a hidden tool bar for the windows
that go with the icons to the left side. - The second floating tool bar is the layers
properties window.
Also on the right side is the color selection
tool bar, and an area to show what texture,
pattern, or gradient is currently being used.
