Picking your Hamster

• Chose one that has a special personality and is
  friendly to you.
• Make sure he/she is the right age, color, and
  type of hamster that you want.
• Check you new hamster of any sicknesses like wet
  tail or a common hamster cold.

Getting your Hamster settled

• Put your hamster in a suitable cage with plenty
  of fresh seeder in it.
• Provide him/her with food, water, and a corner to
  sleep in.
• Give your new hamster a few days to settle
  him/herself in the cage. Do NOT mess with your
  hamster during this time.

Your Hamster and You

• Start by reaching your hand inside the cage. Let
  your hamster sniff your fingers but DONT touch
  him/her. Do this every day for 3 days.
• Begin to pet your hamster gently from head to
  tail after those first 3 days.
• When hamster is used to your and your visits,
  then you may slowly pick up your hamster from
  behind.

Play toys

• You need to give your hammy plenty of play idioms
  like wheels, huts, and tunnels to exercise with.
• Make sure the toys you provide are kept clean and
  dry.
• You may want to switch the toys weekly to help
  entertain your hamster.

Cleanness

• You need to clean out your hamsters cage with a
  wet clean rag once every week.
• You need to give him/her fresh food and water
  once a week as well as new seeder.
• Cleaning may also help to bond with your hamster.
  Putting him/her on your shoulder while you clean
  might help.

Hamster growth

• As your hamster grows, you need to give him/her
  bigger toys and harder foods to chew.
• Your hamsters age may account to his/her health.
  More veterinarian appointments might be better
  for your hammy.
• The more he/she grows, the more he/she will wish
  to play. Take him/her out to play more. You might
  enjoy this, too.
