Goals

• The overall goal of the Anguilla National Trust
  is to promote the sustainable development and
  management of Anguillas resources through the
  facilitation of sound education and awareness
  programmes, the dynamic role of the ANT Council,
  the active participation of all development
  stakeholders, and direct collaboration among
  public and private sector entities.

OBJECTIVES

• To develop, prepare, and implement Protected
  Areas Site Management Plans 
• To build local membership by 25 each year
• To offer at least one scholarship in
  Environmental Studies each year through
  university partners
• To increase public awareness of the role and
  function of the ANT
• To enhance the relationship with the Department
  of Education through the environment in education
  programme
• To provide relevant training for staff 
• To reduce the ANTs consumption of paper,
  utilities and processing time by 20 percent in
  the first 12 months of this Strategic Plan

• To complete the cataloguing of the relics and
  Anguillas herbarium specimen and mount displays
• To implement an Environmental Awareness summer
  camp in partnership with ALHCS Environmental
  Club
• To update and maintain an informative website
• To further strengthen local, regional
  international networks
• To establish and implement a financial
  development policy for the ANT
• To establish an Environmental Trust Fund and 
• To enhance the eco-tourism project as well as
  working with tourism to encourage a more green
  approach to development for example, through
  CAST certification.
