2Background
- The Membership/Community Liaison Committee
(M/CLC) of the HPPC prioritized a community
meeting that focused on Transgender Health and
HIV Prevention - The Transgender Advisory Group (TAG) convened
several brainstorming meetings to identify
several HIV prevention priorities with
transgender communities - TAG worked closely with the M/CLC and HPS staff
to plan this meeting and presentation
3Motion 1 - Female-to-Male (FTM) Transgender Needs
Assessment
- The Membership/Community Liaison Committee moves
that the HIV Prevention Planning Council (HPPC)
recommends that the HIV Prevention Section (HPS)
prioritize the development and implementation of
a Female-to-Male (FTM) transgender needs
assessment.
4Motion 2 - Centralized Transgender Resource Guide
- The Membership/Community Liaison Committee moves
that the HIV Prevention Planning Council (HPPC)
recommends that the HIV Prevention Section (HPS)
compile a centralized transgender resource guide
to maximize San Franciscos HIV Prevention
efforts with transgender communities.
5Motion 3 - Transgender Social Marketing Campaign
- The Membership/Community Liaison Committee moves
that the HIV Prevention Planning Council (HPPC)
recommends that the HIV Prevention Section (HPS)
prioritize the development and implementation of
a social marketing campaign to empower
transgender community members to take a proactive
approach towards healthier behaviors and reduce
their risks for HIV.
6Motion 4 - Transgender Provider Training
- The Membership/Community Liaison Committee moves
that the HIV Prevention Planning Council (HPPC)
recommends that the HIV Prevention Section (HPS)
require transgender cultural competency trainings
for all HPS-funded programs.
