Project Description

• Problem
• Vague interpretation of flexion angle in knee
  after surgical procedure and during
  rehabilitation
• Solution
• Portable digital goniometer, integrated into a
  soft brace with a digital output

• Initial prototype design completed
• 3D model of knee acquired
• Parts received
• Breadboard circuit constructed and in general
  working order
• Redesign underway

Personal Focus Electronic Components

• Locate appropriate components (microprocessor,
  LCD screen, BCD to 7 Segment Decoder, etc)
• Program microprocessor
• Test circuit
• Get circuit into functional form for the
  kneebrace

Personal Achievements

• Circuit constructed
• Programmed and tested microprocessor with
  PIC16C765 (actual device will use 745) using
  MPASM with MPLAB IDE v7.1
• Program in general working order (still a few
  bugs, but it basically does what we want it to)

Work-To-Do

• Get circuit working fully and integrate into new
