Ordinary Objects Seen In New Ways

• For my final project I will be taking ordinary
  objects, and making candles out of them. The
  object of this is to see these items in a new
  way. For most of these items, I will cast them in
  plastic, and then use this mold to create a
  candle from the negative. The main theme is
  oxymorons.

• The first item I will be casting is a fire
  extinguisher. I think it would be really
  entertaining to see a fire extinguisher shaped
  candle

• I will also be casting a light bulb so that I
  can get a light bulb shaped candle. I think it
  will also be really cool if I cast it well enough
  for it to actually fit into a socket.

• The ice tray is something I will be doing
  differently than the other candles. In this case,
  I will be making clear gel candles in each of the
  holes in the ice tray, so that it actually looks
  somewhat watery. I wont be casting anything for
  this part of the project.

• I also may explore casting other items as I
  think of them. Since I have never made candles
  before, I cannot really estimate how much time it
  will take and whether there will be enough time
  to make more items than I have already proposed.
