Indications - Serious Eye Injuries
  • blurred vision
  • sharp stabbing or deep throbbing pain
  • black eye (orbital hematoma)
  • black specks on cornea
  • numbness along lateral nose or cheek

Tx. Serious Eye Injury
  • care and treatment
  • cover with a protective shield with no pressure
    on the eye
  • refer as soon as possible
  • be over cautious!!
  • close opposite eye

Other Eye Problems
  • stye infection of ciliary gland or sebaceous
    gland
  • corneal abrasions dirt or contact lenses
  • iritis red eye caused by minor trauma
  • pupillary sluggishness deformity
  • conjunctivitis viral or bacterial infection of
    the conjunctiva
  • watery discharge pink eye
  • yellow or green - bacterial
