What PeLS Does
  • Promoting research on the effective use of
    eLearning,
  • Sharing of eLearning experiences,
  • Developing standards of excellence,
  • Promoting interoperability of eLearning systems,
  • Encouraging collaboration in the development of
    substantive content,
  • Cooperating with international eLearning groups,
  • Promoting public awareness and appreciation of
    the nature and uses of eLearning.

Immediate Goals
  • Connect the current elearning pioneers with the
    more numerous but lower income segments of
    society, such as the schools devoted to basic and
    vocational education, on a helping but also
    income-augmenting relationship.
  • Actively participate in the Asian regional market
    to co-develop content rich in the unique
    qualities of the Asian people and to achieve
    scale economies in elearning.

    development/promotion of SCORM-compliant content

    (Asian Elearning Network)
  • Member institutions did pioneering elearning
    implementations (UPOU, UST, CrimsonLogic, iDiwa,
    among others)
  • Individual members did pioneering work (OTL,
    Eminima, SCORM applications)
  • Conducted SCORM training of trainers
