Title: Bleak prospects for Sealand
1Bleak prospects for Sealand
The Republic of Sudan has declined to recognise
Sealand while the Arab Republic of Egypt has
indicated that no formal statement will be made -
its relations with the entity, if any, will be
determinative of recognition. All other States
are silent. Prince Regent Michael declared, I
am shocked and disgusted. As acts of lawful
retorsion, we are suspending exports of precious,
life-giving seawater to both Sudan and the
not-so-glorious Arab Republic of Egypt. Tourist
visas are also suspended indefinitely.
2Reservations to Refugee Treaties
The Democratic Republic of Congo and the Kingdom
of Morocco are deemed (a) not to have accept
ed any reservations put forward by States to
either the UN Convention or the OAU Convention
relating to the status of refugees and
(b) not to have opposed the entry into force of
these Conventions between their respective States
and any State entering a reservation
as neither State has entered an acceptance or ob
jection to any reservations received.
3Nigeria sends official greetings
to Morocco on Independence Day
Facing sour relations to the South, the Federal
Republic of Nigeria is extending a hand
northwards, and has wished all in the Kingdom of
Morocco a happy Independence Day (2 March 2008).
There has been no response from Morocco, which
may or may not have a lucrative arms deal with
Uganda. See International Actions Official
