• Terri Bauer is a social worker and juvenile sex
  offender treatment specialist who has dedicated
  all of her professional career for this cause.
  She believes that although these children have
  committed crimes, they can still be helped. With
  the proper guidance and support, they can be
  ushered back into society, and lead a normal
  lifestyle.

• In addition to her higher education where she
  graduated with honors, she is also professionally
  licensed. Her licenses include LCSW and LSOTP,
  and she has been in the field since 1994. Her
  first job was at the Child Guidance of Texoma
  where she designed and implemented parenting
  groups for the clinical treatment of special
  education children, and also for children in the
  legal system in Grayson County.

• As a director of the Juvenile Sex Offender
  Program at Grayson County Terri Bauer used
  cognitive behavioral and systems method of
  assessment and treatment of the juvenile. She
  collaborated with an extensive network of court
  professionals, police officers, and probation
  officers to aid the recovery of the juvenile
  offender and reintegrate them back to society.

• She is also the current director of the CSI
  program at Collin County. The goal of this
  program was to ensure that there would be no more
  victims. It involves intense in patient
  treatment of the offender in a post adjudication
  facility. By teaching them important emotional
  coping, social skills, and behavioral management.
  The parents are also told to be heavily involved
  in their childs treatment and they are taught
  how to identify signs that something wrong is
  going on.

• To ensure complete honesty from the children,
  they are required to submit to a polygraph test
  during their probationary period. They have an
  initial polygraph in the beginning and then a
  maintenance polygraph is conducted later on. At
  any time during the program if the youth refuses
  to participate, refuses the polygraph, or does
  not cooperate, then he will be deemed unfit and
  asked to be removed from the facility.
