nights, the men would tell stories about a giant
lumberjack, Paul Bunyan, who did amazing things.
- Paul Bunyan is a mythical hero whose story
was created by lumberjacks many years ago.

He weighed 80 pounds when he was only 3 hours

- He is a hero because
- explored and settled Kentucky
- fought to defend Kentucky and the settlers from
Indian attacks - lost two sons and a brother in the fighting, but
still had mercy on the Indians.
