    immigration in US

Wave
  • Muslims from the Gulf Area began to migrate to
    the United States in about 1863.
  • The first wave came primarily from what is known
    as Syria
  • Most were migrant laborers, uneducated,
    unskilled, and from peasant backgrounds

History of Masjids in America
  • In 1915, Albanian immigrants in Maine established
    a congregation to offer Muslim prayer services
  • Second Was in Ross, North Dakota
  • It was built around 1929
  • Essentially was a building to keep the people
    warm at that time
  • It was 1.25 meters tall above the ground
  • Was tore down it 1970, because of not being used
    enough, but another was made in its place
  • In 1934 .Third one was made in Cedar Rapids,
    Iowa. (this was first Islamic Center)
  • Had white-framed building with green dome is
    still standing to this very day in the middle of
    a residential community

    Non Muslim Friends.
  • One of the Best make a Dawa to Our Non Muslim
    Friends is to set a good example. Do something
    positive continuously that will catch their Eyes
    and make them wonder why we are Different.
