    courses at both UBC and SFU.
  • At SFU, I did an Education directed study course.
  • My focus was Korean-American identity in
    childrens books.

Working with Children
  • In Korea, I worked as an English teacher for one
    year. I taught listening, reading, speaking, and
    writing to over 70 children from kindergarten to
    Grade 9.
  • At SFU, I was a supplementary childcare worker
    for four months. I worked with both toddlers and
    school-age kids.

My Special Interests
  • I am interested in evaluating and publicizing
    childrens books with Korean or
    Korean-Canadian/American characters. My interest
    also lies in how children respond to these books.
  • I would like to help set up childrens libraries
    in developing countries.
