Comfort and Control Systems
  • Seat position controls
  • Adjustments that put you in proper driving
    position
  • Steering Wheel
  • Many are adjustable to fit height and to see
    dials and road
  • Air conditioner
  • Allows for comfort and removes humidity from car
  • Air Vents
  • Provide fresh air flow through car

Controlling Movement
  • Ignition Switch
  • Acc - runs accessories
  • Lock- locks steering wheel
  • Off-turns systems off

  • Start- draws power from battery to start car

  • Surrounding area
  • look for children animals, objects, leaks
  • Wheels
  • check low tires, which way they are turned
  • Car body
  • Check for damage, scrape snow from windows
  • Under the hood
  • fluid levels, hose belt condition
  • Getting into car
  • load from passenger side, walk towards traffic

  • Close lock doors
  • insert key into ignition
  • adjust seat
  • adjust head restraint
  • adjust mirrors
  • check inside of windows
  • make sure all objects are secured
  • familiarize with all control devices
  • fasten seatbelts, including passengers
