Conclusions
There are a small number of hospitality special
libraries in academia, trade associations and
private industry
There is a larger number of hospitality
librarians mostly associated with
hospitality-related schools, colleges and
universities.
Corporate and trade association libraries seem to
be in flux. Marriott Corporation closed their
library several years ago and the American Hotel
and Lodging Association closed their library and
contracted it out to the University of Houston.
The librarians I spoke with belong mostly to ALA
and ACRL. One does belong to SLAs Management
Division.
