Aptivus - Tipranavir

• Non-peptidic HIV-1 protease inhibitor. Inhibits

  gag-pol polyproteins in infected cells preventing
  formation of mature virus.
• Aptivus in combination with ritonavir (Norvir)
  to treat HIV
• CYP3A4 interactions (mostly due to ritonavir)

• Inhibits protein translation in bacteria by
