  • Definition of Friend (Person you like) A person
    you know well and like and who is not usually a
    member of your family.
  • -Whatever is True (Correct, Real, Admitting
    fact, Loyal, Accurate, Straight?)

  • Am I a likeable person? Am I real?
  • What is my relationship with my kids like?
  • How open am I? Do I admit facts?
  • Am I a loyal Father/ Mother?
  • Am I a straight and accurate Dad / Mum?
  • Am I my children fan/buddy? Do I enjoy their
    music or fun?
  • (Chuck-Knuckles, High 5, etc)
  • Point Christ in us should be the Hope of Glory
    for our kids.

  • characters of mine that I cherish and claim as
    Birth Marks?

  • Do I model courage for my family?
  • How honest am I?
  • (My Daddy told me to tell you that he is not at
    home).
  • What about caring for others? (How often do I
    respond to calls for Poor Outreach?)
  • Point We need to model Christ for our children.

  • Do mummy and Daddy fight, abuse or rebuke each

  • Some parents dont get to see their kids except
    sometimes on Sundays when they go traditionally
    to Church because they keep late nites, for
    whatever reason.
  • One husband, many wives and countless kids at war
    with one another.

  • Do I appear clean and undiluted to my kids?
  • Do I realize that God judges the attitude of the
    heart?
  • Is my heart pure and without any blemish?
  • Do I play macho in front of my kids or do I
    humble myself and be vulnerable?
  • Am I as open as a book they can read?
  • What is your purity like?

    Church?
  • Do I see them beautiful and attractive? How often
    do I say I love u?
  • Do I make the home peaceful and attractive to
    them or do they enjoy spending more time out of
    our home?
  • Do I know my kids friends? Are they good
    company? (Bad company...
  • Do I discipline? How? With love?

    emotions?
  • Do I earn or demand their respect?
  • Do I even realize they are growing up and that at
    a point they are entitle to their privacy?
  • (Some of us still want to choose their clothes
    and give them bath even at Preteen/Teen level
  • What will my child remember me for?
  • Do I make our home a military cantonment or
    create an enabling environment for them to learn
    and absorb what I am teaching them?
  • Do I Make House Cores Fun or a Drab?

  • Show practical examples to your kids they
    remember more of what they see than what they
    hear
  • Be the Bible they read
  • Call them to Prayers and Devotionals
  • Use every opportunity to teach not to rebuke all
    the time
  • Dont think or talk negative about them
  • Believe in them Respect them. He/She will
    change.
  • Dont talk at them, talk to them. Reason with
    them.
  • Encourage more
  • Let them know you care and love show and say it.
  • No favoritism, treat them all equally with love.
  • Raise them up yourselves. Do not throw them to
    the western world at a tender age.
  • BE FUN, BE WISE, BE VIGILANT, BE CAREFULL

  • As parents our attitude should be
  • I WANT TO KNOW CHRIST
  • so that I can teach and model Christ to my
    Children.

  • It takes a couple to bring forth a child, but it
    takes the whole community to raise him up. (The
    Community of Believers) seek advice and be open
    about the condition of your kids.
