Mayo Mercedes Wardle L.Ac., Dipl. OM
studied Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at
Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San
Diego, the Heilongjiang University of Chinese
Medicine in the Peoples Republic of China, and
graduated with a Master of Science in Oriental
Medicine from Southwest College of Acupuncture
and Oriental Medicine in New Mexico.  She is a
licensed acupuncturist in Arizona, and a
nationally certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and
Oriental Medicine.  Mayo uses a gentle technique
that combines her studies in Chinese and Japanese
acupuncture styles.  Mayo is passionate
about healthcare being affordable and accessible
to all people. She opened Phoenix Community
Acupuncture in 2011 in order to do just that.
Her particular interests are pain, emotional
syndromes, and womens health.  In her spare time
Mayo is chasing after her daughter, dancing, and
thinking shes funny.

In Asia, acupuncture has traditionally been
practiced in a group setting rather than in
private treatment rooms. In the United States,
private treatments typically cost between 60-120
per session, which is more than most people can
afford, and insurance coverage for acupuncture is
often limited. Acupuncture is most effective
when received frequently until your health
improves. Our sliding scale allows you to come in
often enough to see positive results. We practice
highly effective and gentle methods of
acupuncture in which we select points on the
limbs, head, and ears to treat patients who are
fully clothed. So, we ask you to please wear
loose clothing so that we can roll sleeves and
pantlegs up as necessary. Patients can then relax
comfortably in their recliner for the course of
the treatment. It is not uncommon to fall asleep
and wake feeling refreshed.
