About the book

• 17 year old Bella moves to her father's home when
  her mother remarries. At first we see Bella go
  through the usual "new girl at school" stuff. But
  with one exception. She seems to have gained the
  attention of Edward Cullen, the supernaturally
  handsome loner.
• When Edward seems to defy physics to save Bella's
  life her suspicions are aroused. She's not
  entirely surprised to learn that Edward is a
  vampire. He and his "family" have renounced human
  blood and hunt only animals. Bella presents a
  unique problem to Edward since she has an
  intoxicating scent which he finds difficult to
  resist.
• At the same time he loves her too deeply to hurt
  her. Bella for her part wants to be with Edward
  and doesn't care who or what he is. The lovers
  meet a challenge when Bella attracts the
  attention of a "tracker" a not so friendly
  vampire who is also attracted to Bella's scent
  but doesn't share Edward's love of Bella.

  they go forward in their relationship.

  can they make people understand that they're
  feelings for each other go way beyond a teen
  romance?

  is a normal boyfriend/girlfriend relationship? In
  addition Bella begins to learn the history of
  Edward and his family and how they became
  vampires in the first place.
