2Logging On to eRespond
- Pre-requisites
- You must have had a username and password created
by the system administrator - There must be a shortcut for eRespond set up on
the desktop or on internet explorer - To bring up the Login screen, double click on the
eRespond shortcut.
3Logging On to eRespond
Input username and password note both are case
sensitive - then
click on Login
Note The system will allow you only a small
number of attempts to log on (as set by your
system administrator) after the last failed log
in attempt your user account will be locked
and the system administrator will have to re-set
your password
4Logging On to eRespond
Successful Login will take you to the eRespond
main screen displaying the main eRespond menu
bar - now we are ready to explore the eRespond
user interface
5Using the Mouse in eRespond
- eRespond uses the standard left-click,
right-click convention - Left-click is used to select individual rows, or
place the cursor in a field
- The right-click is used to bring up a
context-sensitive menu , working in most list
displays
- Use Ctrl-click to select non-contiguous rows and
- Shift-click to select contiguous rows
6List Screen Operation
List Area The List area is tabbed - when you
select a tab some of the columns change to show
different information. Clicking on a column
header sorts the displayed rows in either
descending or ascending order
Search Area Filter and sort the items in the
list screen by selecting criteria in the search
area. The Search Artea has search criteria
grouped under tabs. The tabs available will vary
by List Type.
Details Area Selecting a row in list area
automatically populates the details area. Again
the details area is tabbed to show different
information about the item selected in the row.
The tabs will vary depending on type of list
display
7Matrix Screens
Matrix Screens provide an overview of the
geographic distribution and status of key objects
in eRespond, including Events, Work Orders, and
Resources
The horizontal axis identifies the various states
that an object, e.g. Event, can be in
The contents of each cell indicate the number of,
e.g. events, in that status, in that geographic
area. Clicking on the cell will takje the user to
the List display for that object type, e.g. Event
List, and show the details of the events
summarised in the cell
The first column of the matrix shows the Local
Offices
The Search area allows the user to filter the
matrix display by object type, e.g. only show all
Troubleticket Events
