Fieldwork Plans
  • Argentine march-december 2007 focus on
    desertification, soil degradation and
    water-shortage areas Chaco, Pampa, Patagonia.
  • Dominican Republic fieldwork autumn/winter 2007
    focus on tropical storms and sea-level rise.
  • Ecuador timing of fieldwork most fieldwork
    will be done in destination country Spain focus
    on deforestation, desertification and soil
    degradation areas Andean Region, Pacific Coast.
  • Mexico first fieldtrips in spring 2007, further
    fieldwork from autumn 2007 to spring 2008 (local
    presence) focus on desertification,
    water-shortage, tropical storms and sea-level
    rise, areas Gulf Coast, South-East, Tlaxcala,
    Zacatecas.

Subcontracting Plans
  • Argentine UNICEN as joint team member,
    historical and actual data collection. Amount to
    be spent approx. 1.500 Euro.
  • Dominican Republic subcontracting partner has
    not been selected yet tasks interviews with
    local population of affected areas (by students)
    amount to be spent approx. 2-3.000 Euro
  • Ecuador as at Dominican Rep., local
    subcontractor is now in way to be hired. Tasks
    field research and data collection. Amount to be
    spent approx. 5.000 Euro.
  • Mexico no subcontracting needed (local presence)
  • Eventually another Andean Country
