• 75 of 2004 funding needs are in hand
• Gradually attracting new country and agency

• Travel support of delegates to PrepCom
  encouraging - but still 900K gap for WCDR
• Chronic lack of stable predictable funding
• For 2005, less than 25 coverage of needs

• WCDR dominates immediate priorities longterm
  investment for commitment
• Build strong supporting, monitoring and guiding
  mechanisms at all levels
• Growing demand from countries for support
• Growing donor interest in disaster risk reduction
