How do they live?

• The Cougar eats deer, elk ,big horn sheep, and
  some small animals
• The mother raises the babies
• They live for about 18 years
• It lives with its parents about 2 years
• They eat about 36 pounds of meat a day

What does it look like ?

• The cougar can be from 3.5 feet to 6.5 feet
  with a 2 to 2.5 foot tail
• They are a tannish color called tawny
• They have round heads with long legs

Where does it live?

• It lives in Canada
• The Cougar lives in the western plains of the
  United States of America
• It also lives in some of the rainforests of South
  America
• And the Rocky Mountains

How is it adapted?

• The Cougar jump's on its prey
• They hunt alone for protection
• Its a very fast runner
• They have one enemy man

• The Cougar has no spots
• They have other names like panther, mountain lion
  , cat mount ,and puma
• It berly ever kill people
• Ranchers do not like them
• Help strengthen herds
