THE EVIDENCE BASIS
  • Parenting education is effective in reducing
    child abuse and neglect
  • Strengthening family Protective Factors
    inoculates children against violence, behavior
    problems and some forms of mental illness
  • Family resource centers can reduce community
    rates of addiction, juvenile crime, and
    delinquency
  • Parent education saves real dollars by preventing
    costly social service, justice and mental health
    system intervention
