Saving Docs on a Floppy or Flash Drive

• Insert a floppy or flash drive into the computer

• Step 1 Open up a word document.
• Click on File in your Browser.
  
  
• Select Save As
• Step 2 On the left hand side of the screen
• Select My Computer

• A lot of options will appear. Focus on the last
  3 choices
  
• You will either be saving on a Floppy or Hotplug
  if you are saving on a flash drive/thumb drive/
  jump drive.
  
• Select the drive you want. Read slide 4 if you
  are saving to a floppy. Skip to slide 5 if you
  are saving on a flash drive.

• Saving on Floppy
• Step 1 If you are saving to a floppy, you will
  get a screen like the one below.
  
• Type in the File Name the way you want
  to SAVE your document.
  
• Step 2 You will see a folder labeled fd0. Open
  the folder. Click Save

• Saving on Flash Drive
• Step 1 If you are saving to a flash
• drive, you will get a screen
• like the one on the left.
• Open drive labeled Hotplug
• You will see a folder labeled
• sdb1. Open the folder
• Type the File Name the way
• you want to save the DOC.
• Click Save
