THE GAMBIA

• The Gambia is one of the smallest countries in
  Africa.
• It is wrapped around by Senegal on three sides
  and attacked by The Atlantic Ocean to the West.
• It has 70 km of open ocean coastline and about
  200 km of sheltered coast along The River Gambia.

• A very important sector of The Gambian economy is
  fishing. Not only as part of the staple diet, but
  also a export earner.
• Sea level rise could destroy many fishing
  villages.
