First Project With the World Bank
Road and Safety Improvement Project Project
objective bringing one of the main roads of
Ukraine, i e the M-03 Kyiv - Kharkiv -
Dovzhanskyi road on its Boryspil - Lubny section,
to the European level. The Project comprises the
following three components 1) the rehabilitation
of the road 2) the improvement of traffic
safety 3) personnel and institutional capacity
building.

Second Road and Safety Improvement Project
Project objective the improvement of transport
and operation state of one of the most important
main roads of Ukraine, which is a part of the
Euro-Asian transport corridor, in accordance with
European standards. The Project provides for the
capital repair and rehabilitation of 145
kilometres of the M-03 road on its Lubny -
Poltava section (kilometre 191 to kilometre 336).

Results of the Project Implementation in 2013
  • Traffic was opened on finished sections
    (kilometre 245050 kilometre 258000, kilometre
    323000 kilometre 329050.
  • Traffic along tack coat was opened (kilometre
    185000 kilometre 191400).
  • The construction of the crossroads on kilometre
    196600 was finished.
  • In 2013 the repair of sections kilometre 210000
    to kilometre 220782, kilometre 228000 to
    kilometre 239317, kilometre 258000 to
    kilometre 275000, kilometre 282000 to kilometre
    323000 started.
  • Ground works in an amount of more than 1.4
    million cubic metres in respect of
    earth-excavation and earth-embankman were done,
    more than 450 thousand square metres of existing
    surface were regenerated, more than 750 thousand
    square metres of asphaltic concrete base, 720
    thousand square metres of tack coat and 450
    thousand square metres of asphalt carpet coat
    were prepared.
  • The tolal volume of produced asphaltic concrete
    exceeded 230 thousand tons.
  • Fifty-nine cubic metres of bridge piers and one
    hundred and sixty cubic metres of bridge balks
    were placed.
