6Step 5 Background
- Select BACKGROUND from the FORMAT menu.
- Drop down the color field.
- Select a color, pattern, or effect.
7Step 6 Add Drawing Objects (if desired)
- Use the DRAW toolbar to add objects
- The pink border to the left of this page is a
drawing object. - The three pink lines at the top of this page are
drawing objects.

- The envelopes at the top-left of the slide is a
clipart file. - The blue and red stripes on the left of this
slide are colored lines from the DRAW toolbar.

You can place a gif or jpg on a template

11Step 7 Fonts and Bullets
- Change the font style if desired
- Change the font size if desired
- Change the font color if desired
- Change the shape of bullets if desired
- Change the color of bullets if desired
12Step 8 Title Master
- The template youve created so far is for all
slides EXCEPT the Title slide layout. For step
8, you will create the Title Master. Some times
the Title Master is the same as the Slide Master
but usually it is different.
13Step 8 Title Master
- Insert the Title Master (CTRL-M or use the new
slide button on the toolbar ). - Instead of seeing a new slide, this brings up the
Title Master. - Edit any of the objects that need to be added,
eliminated, or moved on the Title Master.
14Step 9 Save Your Template
CAUTION Follow these steps exactly they are
important!
- Change back to normal view.
- Delete your first slide (You will no longer be
able to see your design template but it is not
lost). - Choose SAVE AS from the FILE menu.
- Change Save as Type to Design Template.
- Be sure to save to your H-drive.
