Metric 1 For patients greater than 12 months of
age who have sustained blunt trauma,
documentation record indicating a cervical collar
remained in place until one of the following
clearances was obtained clinical, plain film
radiologic, or computerized tomography. Metric 2
Documentation of the presence or absence of
cervical spine tenderness. Chart source to be
used includes one of the following CIS Patient
HP, Trauma Resuscitation Flowsheet, Emergency
Care Treatment Sheet, CIS physician notes for
general surgery, orthopedics or neurosurgery.
