What is eOPF?

eOPF Background
  • The electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF)
    is one component of OPMs Enterprise Human
    Resource Integration (EHRI).
  • EHRI is a collaborative e-Government initiative
    to streamline and transform how
  • HR Specialists and Managers access human resource
    information
  • All Federal employees access their personnel file
    information.
  • Other EHRI components include
  • A central data repository for all Executive
    Branch employee records
  • A set of analytical tools to support HR and
    Federal managers in forecasting human capital
    requirements, identifying trends and managing
    knowledge.

  • The electronic official personnel folder (eOPF)
  • Replaces the paper OPF with an image and data
    centric employee record spanning the Federal
    employment lifecycle.

What Are OPMs Next Steps?
  • Convert 50 of all hard copy official personnel

    to a total of 90 of all hard copy OPFs converted
    to electronic OPFs by October 1, 2010
