ACL status

• In RFC Editor queue
• Note that Security ADs did not approve ACL
  although they did not block it
• Allowing different servers to support different
  sets of privileges makes automated clients or
  audit tools difficult to impossible
• Need to plan interoperability tests
• Can we lock this down more in the future?

Redirect draft

• Draft-ietf-webdav-redirectref-protocol-06
• Replace MKRESOURCE with MKREDIRECT?
• Allow authoring of 301-type redirects as well as
  302-type
• How to handle requests that address multiple
  resources, including redirects
• 207 may confuse
• HTTP/1.1 says requests to redirects MUST result
  in 3xx status code

Interop Report

• Performance tests (first time)
• Three commercial clients, one open-source
• Six commercial servers
• This is only about 30 of implementors
• Attendees of previous interops did not
  necessarily show up

RFC2518bis issues

• Do namespace prefix tags need to be preserved
• Requirements for ETag support
• Must resources be in collections
• Some interest in new writable modification-date
  property
• Whether these change on MOVE
• Plan for another draft in next couple months

PATCH proposal use cases

• WebDAV large files
• Adobe and Apple client implementors asked for
  this
• DeltaV small changes to many source files
• SIMPLE changing my buddy list or presence
  document on HTTP server
• Netconf? Making changes to large configuration
  documents
