  • Describe the program(s) that will be put into
    place as a result of the waiver.
  • Describe the student support(s) and teacher
    contact hours that will be provided in the
    proposed program.
  • Identify the topic and specific Administrative
    Rule or specific reference in the pupil
    Accounting Manual for which a waiver is being
    sought.
  • Describe why the waiver is necessary to stimulate
    improved pupil performance.

  • Describe who and explain how all interested
    parties were notified and involved in the process
    to seek the waiver, e.g. teachers, parents,
    students, community, others. Please include
    information about the local school boards
    support of the waiver.
  • Describe the number of students who will be
    participating in the new program(s) and the
    selection process.

  • Describe the evaluation process and data measures
    used to demonstrate that the waiver is
    stimulating improved pupil performance. Describe
    the process used to ensure continued support for
    the waiver from the various stakeholders.
  • If the program(s) put in place as a result of the

    a grant, describe how the new program(s) will be
    sustained when the grant is no longer available.

Things You Can Do Now!
  • Allow any high school student to take one or two
    online courses at any self-scheduled time and
    place.
  • Allow any high school student to take all of
    his/her courses online at school with up to two
    of them from home.

  • Allow any high school student to dual enroll for
    all but one high school course and the high
    school course may be an online course.
  • Allow any high school student to take one or two
    independent study courses per semester.

  • Allow any high school student to take up to half
    of his/her courses as work-based learning.
  • Build project based learning courses for any high
    school content.
  • Create and use performance assessments to award
    secondary credits.

    will be helpful (very helpful!!!)
