The Professional Development Requirements screen
for administrators shows how many of each type of
professional development activities are
required. These requirement take into account
exemptions.

on live data and is real time. The screen
will show a penalty academy requirement for the
current year until such time the academy for the
current year is taken.

94Important Notes about HOUSSE
- Do not use HOUSSE to apply for Highly Qualified
subject areas for which you are already highly
qualified by other means - HOUSSE is available only to teachers employed
through the 2005-2006 school year - Persons who passed the Elementary/Middle Grades
exam have been automatically marked highly
qualified in all middle grades subject areas
95Important Notes about HOUSSE
- ISBE has automatically entered HOUSSE
qualifications for educators that hold
endorsements in subject areas for which 20 or
more semester hours of coursework were required
to be awarded the endorsement. (20 x 5 HOUSSE
points 100 points)

- The first step asks you to confirm your identity

programmatically determined highly qualified
status through testing, master certificates, and
degree majors.
