share information, resources, and expertise. The
Mission Planning Council as an agent proactively
participating in constructing an online
environment to promote and preserve community may
significantly impact its serving audience

communication among networks of community

    comprised of 25 community based organizations,
    seeks to create a stable community base by

    class and Latino community that is also
    ethnically and economically diverse through the
    efforts of a unified and inclusive neighborhood
    organization."

RECOMMENDATIONS
recommendations
The following recommendations are presented to
sustain the goals of the Mission Planning Council
in an effort to extend community from physical
place to cyberspace gtgt aggressive
introduction of site to community-based
businesses, organizations, and institutions with
parallel goals gtgt offer site with translated
content in languages reflective of the
community gtgt bulletin board for informal
on-site community interaction and discussion gtgt
news or newsletter featuring informative and
insightful community produced content gtgt
monthly calendar highlighting public hearings,
school events, community festivities,
organizational meetings, art exhibits, etc gtgt
advanced site-search feature and jump-to
capabilities
