About our Organization

• We are theistic scientists, committed to
  advancing research on Christian Theology through
  psychological analysis

Our Goal

• To demonstrate that there are different soul
  personalities, and the psychological profiles of
  individuals do result in unique approaches to
  spiritual experience
• We intend to illustrate this through an ongoing
  case study

The Case Study

• Our subjects are genetically identical triplets,
  age 18, female
• Lisa, Rachel and Gina Mitchell
• Their father, Richard Mitchell, is suffering from
  a terminal illness
• Our study is dedicated to studying how each of
  the girls is coping with this tragic situation

Goal

• These girls were all raised under the same
  environmental conditions and one would assume
  that their genetic makeup will predispose them to
  react in a similar manner
• However, we intend to prove that regardless of
  these circumstances, they each have displayed
  different coping strategies

Subject 1-Lisa

• Practices Christian ideals and turns to the Bible
  for hope and guidance
• Sees her fathers illness of faith
• As a result she firmly believes that prayer will
  heal and begin the recuperation process for her
  father

Lisas Analysis

• Our research has shown us that 90 of people with
  serious medical illness use religion as a coping
  resource
• Religious beliefs provide a worldview that give
  meaning and purpose to life and helps make sense
  of tragedy and suffering and enables people to
  transcend even the most difficult of
  circumstances
• Lisa uses this experience and takes comfort in
  knowing that God as an omnipotent figure is
  capable of healing her father without need for
  using man-made technology-therefore displays an
  independent view
• She represents a candidate who uses religious
  beliefs as a coping mechanism

Subject 2-Rachel

• Not religious, Rachel is more inclined to lean
  towards the field of science as a means of curing
  her father
• She believes that the advances in medicine will
  provide her father with a speedier recovery then
  prayer

Rachels Analysis

• Rachels interpretation can be analyzed through
  the thought which purports that scientific
  knowledge is the only reliable path to a solution
  
• This explains why Rachel prefers medicine over
  prayer as a means of healing her father
• She represents a candidate who uses a belief in
  technology as a coping mechanism and will fall
  into the conflict model because she sees the
  immediate effects of the use of medicine over
  faith

Subject 3-Gina

• Gina strikes a balance between both using
  technological methods along with prayer
• She has a belief that modern medicine combined
  with prayer will be the most effective solution
  to heal her father

Ginas Analysis

• Gina believes that science, although useful, is
  limited, whereas her faith in God has no
  boundaries
• She advocates that advancement in technology is
  not tampering with Gods work when we try to
  reduce human suffering
• She believes that God has endowed us with the
  ability to seek knowledge and improve
  environmental illness
• She represents a candidate who integrates both
  science and religion as a coping mechanism

Conclusion

• Our observations show that despite identical
  genetics and environment, our triplets have
  displayed different coping strategies to deal the
  same situation
• This proves that there are indeed different
  personalities to the soul, some which embrace
  religion to a greater extent than science, or
  vice versa
