7- Personal impression
- Index is comprehensive, but nowhere in the book
at all does it give the key to the abbreviations,
so you have to figure it out yourself. Not hard,
but annoying. The lack of a bibliography may
have the more suspicious types among us wondering
if they didnt just make some of this up. The
obvious typographical errors are more amusing
than anything, but leaves the impression of
sloppy editorial work. Still over all a useful
and comprehensive easy-read reference.
8Google v. Book
- Search Yin and Yang Google 593,000 hits, first
four are relevant, include history. Google gets
this one. - Search Zeno of Elea Google 7,990 hits, first
ten are relevant. Google wins again. - Search Zeno of Citium Google, 3,760 hits,
first five are relevant. I give it to Google. - SUMMARY, Google wins for specifics in this case,
for an overall view, the book places first. List
lovers will HAVE to have this book.
