Criteria
  • Safety
  • Efficiency
  • Cost
  • Portability

4
Constraints
  • Weight
  • Size
  • Stability

5
Basic Stripper
-Man Powered -Width -Lever
6
The Flipper
  • Electric Powered
  • Linear Actuators

  • Gas Motor
  • Hydraulic

10
The Tank
-Tracks -Size
11
The Crawler
-Powered by a Lawnmower Engine -Consists of
Three Magnets (Revolve about an Axel) -Chain
Driven
12
Decision Matrix
- Calculated by multiplying score and weight -
Well balanced, score of eight for all criterion -
High score by forty points - Fair way to evaluate
all potential ideas
13
Solution
Mega-Magnet had best overall design.

Conclusion
  • By eliminating the paradigms that we had been
previously constrained by, our team was able to
envision many designs that most professionals
would not have considered. By applying new
technologies to an old process, we were able to
come up with a new innovative machine that could
entirely transform the modern day roofing
    industry.
