Background

• Students for Economic Justice are a campus group
  who fight for human rights and workers rights
  globally and locally
• They have been at MSU since 1999, and the party
  never stopped

What theyve done

• Currently working on ethical contracting,
  concentrating on Coca Cola
• Two years ago they pushed MSU to join the Worker
  Rights Consortium, which monitors where MSU
  clothing is made
• They have other victories including getting Taco
  Bell off campus and helping local unions
• They work in solidarity with other radical
  organizations, most recently they have been
  fighting for free immigration and affirmative
  action

• Its difficult to update
• New members can be turned away by it
• People unsure if they want to get involved wont
  find the info they need
• Allies go there for updates only to find news
  from a few years ago and a broken RSS feed.

It has some nice features

• The idea that any member can post news is
  something we dont want to take away
• The set up is nice, with an RSS feed on the left,
  news in the middle, and a calendar on the right

MAIN GOALS

• Make it so new members can feel ownership over
  website, and therefore group (sustainability)
• Make it so non-members will want to get involved
  (usability)
• Make it so allies will not feel like we are a
  bunch of lazy kids with bad tempers
  (accessibility)
