2000 when the public relations program was
implemented. The advertising value of publicity

their - specific requests regarding Kansas destinations.
- Wrote and distributed 10 major press releases.
- Developed 22 custom itineraries for writers
touring the state for story research and
assignments. - Weekly distribution of Kansas events to
statewide media. - Hosted a press trip in September 2004 for the
Lewis and Clark bicentennial with 11 writers
attending from across the country. - Hosted a press luncheon in June 2004 in New
York City to showcase Kansas tourism to over 40
writers who attended the event.
