Hawaii Region wide Changes to Penalties and
Violations

• First Offense
• -automatic 30 day suspension of
  driving privileges on all navy installations in
  Hawaii.

• Second Offense of same violation within a year
• -automatic 1 year suspension of
  driving privileges on all navy installations in
  Hawaii

Regulations are as followsTHE BIG 5

• 1. Failure of operator or occupants to use
  available restraint system devices (SEATBELTS).

• 2. Failure to properly restrain children in a
  child restraint system (ALL CHILDREN UNDER FOUR
  YEARS OF AGE).

• 3. Speeding over 30 miles per hour above posted
  speed limit in a 0-30 mph zone or over 15 mph
  above posted speed limit in a 30 mph and above
  zone.

• 4. Failure to wear required personal protective
  equipment (PPE) while operating or riding a
  motorcycle/moped.

• 5. Permitting an unlicensed person to operate
  your vehicle.

  to avoid the loss of workdays due to mishaps.
  Everyone must always be aware of and ready to
  take positive steps to prevent safety
  infractions. Reducing safety mishaps is
  EVERYONES JOB.
