Getting to the Computers

• Walk quietly to computers
• Computer lab on third floor
• 4th 5th grade class is in session
• Computers in the media center
• Located by the big windows may be used for
  student and classroom use
• Student use requires notifying Mrs. Cameron or
  Mrs. Niebuhr that you have permission to use them
• Keep track of your timeask about timer
• Be on appropriate sites
• Follow classroom and media center rules

Using the Computers

• Assigned seatteacher
• No swiveling in chairs
• Always should be in up or highest position
• Teacher will give directions next
• Teacher will tell you if you need to turn the
  computer on, log-on, log-off, print
• Do not turn monitors off!!
• Switches on the wall--teachers

Logging On Using Computer

• Your own user name and password
• Wait patiently quietly
• Using mouse
• May lift mouse off the table only to move pointer
  on the screen
• Keyboard
• Do not lift off of table
• Do not pound on any keys

Towers/CPU

• Towers are under the tables
• Treat them with carekicking will damage the
  machines
• Power buttonsonly if the teacher says to touch

Printing

• Always ask first before you print
• Always use FILE PRINT so that you can see which
  printer you are going to print at
• Only print 1 copy unless you ask your teacher or
  they tell you to print more
