    assurer
  • 58 per cent of emissions are from operating the
ventilation systems in the CityLink tunnels
  • In 2007 we reduced these emissions by 10 or more
    than 3,500 tonnes

Maximum Congestion Relief, Minimum Impact
  • HOT lanes are sometimes referred to as Green
    Lanes. Why?
  • Reducing congestion and stop-start traffic in
turn can reduce the amount of greenhouse gases
    (GHG) released into the environment.
  • Building HOT lanes within an existing road
alignment can significantly reduce right of way
impacts, displacing fewer houses and creating
    less biodiversity impact
  • HOT lanes incentivize public transportation by
offering toll free travel for carpools and buses,
    therefore encouraging more environmentally
    sustainable transportation choices
