Objective

• Students will complete a state report due April
  15.

Student Requirements

• Students will choose any state but Utah.
• Students will complete a mini-report on gum
  first. Each part of the mini-report will be
  similar to the state report.

Students will have a Notes Packet to complete
first.

• Starting in February, one or two sections will be
  assigned a week.
• Students will bring their state stuff every
  Monday to work in class.
• The section will be collected and scored the
  following Monday morning.

Notes Packet

• Students will use this to write a rough draft.
• Students will ask their parents to proofread
  their rough draft.
• Students will write their final copy, then have
  their parents proofread it AGAIN.
• Students will complete other portions of the
  report
• Cover
• Title page
• Table of Contents
• Pictures
• Flag

Parent Requirements

• Parents will copy the encyclopedia pages of their
  states.
• Parents will encourage students to complete
  sections that werent finished during the Monday
  work time.
• Parents will proofread the Rough Draft.
• Parents will proofread the final copy.

Teacher Requirements

• She will supplement the encyclopedia pages with
  The World Almanac and other supplemental books.
• She will help students on Mondays to complete
  their notes packet.
• She will send home weekly progress reports on
  sections completed.
