THE TOWN

• The name of Portugal was born here, said someone
  one day. This remarks not only the antiquity of
  the Porto city, but also its characteristics,
  eminently Portuguese. A bright history, labour
  qualities, hospitality, austere monuments,
  bridges connecting people, excellent gastronomy
  here is a portrait of Portugal itself.

HOW TO REACH THE CONGRESS CITY

• By air, to Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, a
  modern infrastructure fully equipped to meet the
  demands of todays air traffic. Distant 11 km
  from central Porto.
• By train, to Porto Campanhã Station, located in
  the eastern side of the town, Includes all major
  international services.
• By highway, from anywhere in Europe.

• European Community citizens only require their
  normal identification national card to enter
  Portugal.
• Other countries citizens
• whith normal diplomatic relations with Portugal
  not required visa, but should have passport
• Visa needed to the remaining ones.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTS

• The city of Porto is served by multiple bus
  lines, a surface metropolitan and an always
  available taxis fleet. The transports prices are
  cheap, when compared to other big European cities.
