6Attitude and Behaviour more Important than words!
Pro 1632 Better to be slow to anger than to
be a mighty warrior, and one who rules his temper
is better than one who captures a city.
7Attitude and Behaviour more Important than words!
Where is the Emphasis? Col 312/15 Therefore,
as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved,
clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy,
kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,
bearing with one another and forgiving one
another, if someone happens to have a complaint
against anyone else. Just as the Lord has
forgiven you, so you also forgive others. And to
all these virtues add love, which is the perfect
bond. Let the peace of Christ be in control in
your heart (for you were in fact called as one
body to this peace), and be thankful.
8Attitude and Behaviour more Important than words!
What do all the works of the Flesh have in
Common? Gal 518/21 But if you are led by the
Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works
of the flesh are obvious sexual immorality,
impurity, depravity, idolatry, sorcery,
hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of
anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions,
envying, murder, drunkedness, carousing, and
similar things. I am warning you, as I have
warned you before Those who practice such things
will not inherit the kingdom of God!
9Attitude and Behaviour more Important than words!
What do all the works of the Spirit have in
Common? Gal 522/26 But the fruit of the spirit
is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self-control. Against such things there is no
law. Now those who belong to Christ have
crucified the flesh with its passions and
desires, If we live by the Spirit, let us also
behave in accordance with the Spirit. Let us not
become conceited, provoking one another, being
jealous of one another.
10Words are also Important!
Poor Leadership Jam 314/16 But if you have
bitter jealousy and selfishness in your hearts,
do not boast and tell lies against the
truth. Such wisdom does not come from above but
is earthly, natural, demonic. For where there is
jealousy and selfishness, there is disorder and
every evil practice. Good Leadership Jam 317
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then
peaceable, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy
and good fruit, impartial, and not hypocritical.
And the fruit that consists of righteousness is
planted in peace among those who make peace.
11Attitude and Behaviour more Important than words!
A Fitting Contrast. Eph 429 You must let no
unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only
what is beneficial for the building up of the one
in need, that it may give grace to those who
hear Eph 431/32 You must put away every kind
of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarrelling, and
evil, slanderous talk. Instead, be kind to one
another, compassionate, forgiving one another,
just as God in Christ also forgave you.

What we have seen and heard we announce to you
too, so that you may have fellowship with us (and
indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with
his Son Jesus Christ).
16Personal Responsibility the key to Leadership.

behaviour that goes with sound teaching. 1Pe
411 Whoever speaks, let it be with Gods
words. Whoever serves, do so with the strength
that God supplies, so that in everything God will
be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong
the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
17Personal Responsibility the key to Leadership.
1Pe 411 Whoever speaks, let it be with Gods
words. Whoever serves, do so with the strength

Amen. Col 46 Let your speech always be
gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may
know how you should answer everyone. Heb 131/2
Brotherly love must continue. Do not neglect
hospitality, because through it some have
entertained angels without knowing it.
18Personal Responsibility the key to Leadership.
1Pe 47/9 For the culmination of all things is
near. So be self-controlled and sober-minded for
the sake of prayer. Above all keep your love for
one another fervent, because love covers a
multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one
another without complaining.

the ecclesia of God? 1Ti 58 But if someone
does not provide for his own, especially his own
family, he has denied the faith and is worse than
an unbeliever. Col 321 Fathers, do not
provoke your children, so they will not become
disheartened.
21Domestic or Family Responsibilities
Eph 522 /24 Wives, submit to your husbands as
to the Lord, because the husband is the head of
the wife as also Christ is the head of the church
he himself being the savior of the body. But as
the church submits to Christ, so also wives
should submit to their husbands in
everything. Eph 528 In the same way husbands
ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He
who loves his wife loves himself. Eph 533

to you, but be examples to the flock. Col 313

against anyone else. Just as the Lord has
forgiven you, so you also forgive others.

whether to a king as supreme or to governors as
those he commissions to punish wrongdoers and
praise those who do good. For God wants you to
silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing
good. Eph 38 To me less than the least of
