Title: During the Exam Period: Study Planning and Exam Wellness
1During the Exam Period Study Planning and Exam
Wellness
2Where are you at now?Where do you want to be
at the beginning of the exam period?
BEFORE STARTING TO PLAN
3WHY DO I NEED TO PLAN?
- So I dont forget to do things (eat, sleep, study
for a specific course, etc) - So I dont miss out on important activities
because I have to catch-up on studying (review
sessions, recreational activities, etc) - So that I dont waste valuable study time trying
to decide what to study - To maximize my efficiency during a stressful time
of year
4MAKING A STUDY PLAN
- How/where do I study best?
- What do I need to do/study during the exam
period? - What kind of exams am I studying for?
- Which exams are worth the most?
- Which courses do I need to study most?
- How much work is required for me to achieve my
desired mark in this course?
5HOW/WHERE TO STUDY?
KNOW YOURSELF! Do what suits YOU best!
Keep in mind that the way you study best during
the term may not be the best or most effective
way for you to study during the exam period.
6Â
USING YOUR SCHEDULE
- Stick to your schedule (put up Do not disturb
signs, turn off your cell phone, turn off your
computer, etc)Â - Do NOT study non-stop for one subject
- Divide your time into 3-4 blocks to study for
each subject - especially if your exams are close
together - Be flexible (if you planned an excess of time for
one subject, use it to study something else)
7- Â
- Â
- Â
- Â
- REMEMBER TO TAKE BREAKS!!!
8No new material two days before the exam
A FEW CONSIDERATIONS
- During the last few days
- Practice old exam questions to familiarize
yourself with the formatting and suitable answers - Night before the exam
- No major cram session
- No energizer drinksÂ
- Get enough sleep! It'll do you more good to
sleep than to cram - Â
- PLANNING TO STUDY ? STUDYING!
- Dont get caught in the trap! Exam Period
studying schedules can be planned out in the end
of the term to maximize real study time in the
exam period! - Â
- Â
- Â

your body that exclusively uses glucose for
energy?
19GETTING BACK TO STUDYINGÂ

FOLLOW IT! - Tell yourself that you are just going to study
for 10 minutes (after the first 10 minutes it is
