My nearly 10 months at ITA

• My references from the library world was from the
  Informatics and Mathematics libraries
• I was curious on how things worked here
• There has been both wows and ohs

• Where are the books when not registered
• Most times Im able to find them, but not always
• The financial situation at the Faculty library
• By now it seems like Im the last to be employeed
  ever
• The nearby libraries have lost 2.7 positions by
  the end of this year (out of 8)
• The difficulties with moving documents around in
  an overcrowded library.

  (we are organized within one unit)

What Ive been doing this autumn

• Somehow Ive ended up as member in the Faculty
  librarys teaching group. In addition Im
  responsible for making a survey of the library
  employees competance in the annual plan (faculty
  library)
• All of a sudden I also ended up in two
  Christmas-party planning commitees
• Concerning library services I have
• Made a form for submitting conference and
  anthology articles
• Put out a systematic subject entrance to BIBSYS
  via the Astrophysics Librarys homepage
• Alerts for new e-journal issues I try to update
  this page every week
• New bookshelves in the Periodicals reading room

• I need feedback, feedback, feedback to develop
  this in its right direction
• Tell me about new books which should be of
  interest for our collections
• If you want new journals or see that one of our
  current subscriptions has lost quality give me
  a hint so I can check it out
• The BIBSYS astronomy subject portal (web-page
  collections) also need to be updated, please let
  me know of good new resources!!!
