Purpose

• Provide high level product information to ensure
  general understanding
• Communicate and review changes to products and
  processes. These changes are a result of
• 271 Workshop commitments and agreements
• New product initiatives
• New products and functionality in support of
  Statement of Generally Accepted Terms (SGAT)
  language and commission orders
• Answer customer questions about product and
  process changes

General Product Overview

• Allows a CLEC to collocate in a Qwest premises
  that are located remotely from a Qwest Wire
  Center building property.
• Remote premises include
• Controlled environmental vaults
• Controlled environmental huts
• Cabinets
• Pedestals
• Other remote terminals
• Customers can request physical and adjacent
  remote collocation

• Customers requiring detailed product training
  should contact their account team representative.

Product Process Changes
Product Description

• Adjacent Remote Collocation Product offering
• Available when Qwest does not have space in a
  remote premises to allow a customer to physically
  collocate its equipment.
• Allows customers to collocate in existing Qwest
  structures that are on contiguous Qwest property
  with the remote premises.
• All rate elements for Remote Collocation will
  apply. Individual Case Basis (ICB) charges can
  apply for adjacent remote collocation to cover
  the costs associated with premises preparation.
• Customers should submit a Remote Collocation
  Application for adjacent remote collocation.
• Further details and terms and conditions can be
  found in the Product Catalog (PCAT) and Statement
  of Generally Accepted Terms (SGAT).

Product Process Changes
Implementation

• Space Availability Report
• Customers can now place a request for the report
  without placing an order for RTC
• Form to request report is available on the RTC
  PCAT
• Distribution Area (DA) Maps
• Customers can request DA Maps utilizing the form
  from the RTC PCAT
• DA Maps are provided at a Wire Center Level and
  provide information on which DAs serve a
  particular area
• Map will provide the CLEC with the geographic
  description of the area
• DA Maps contain the DA number that is needed on
  the order form

Product Process Changes
Implementation

• Network Disclosures
• PCAT now has a link to the network disclosure Web
  site that includes a list of Qwests remotely
  placed DSLAMs
• Parallel Ordering Process
• Customers can request parallel processing of RTC
  and Unbundled Packet Switching (UPS) orders
• Allows customers to avoid the delay between RTC
  response and UPS order submission
• Customers desiring parallel ordering processing
  should check the appropriate box on the RTC
  application
• In the remarks section of the UPS LSR, customers
  should indicate parallel processing and include
  the DA number and/or address
