Your Childs Schedule

• 9 different classes
• Each class is 40 minutes long
• Students have 4 minutes to change classes
• Each schedule has LA, Math, Science, SS, Lab,
  Phys. Ed, Lunch, Academic Support, and Special
  Area

What is Academic Support?

• Last period every day
• Participate in band, chorus, or orchestra
• Attend study groups
• Visit a teacher to receive extra help
• Make up assignments after absences
• Get a head start on homework

Physical Education

• PE is every day
• Receive a gym locker and a gym lock from PE
  teacher
• Rotate in to Health classroom 3 times a year for
  15 days each rotation
• Change clothes daily in locker-room
• Blue or red shorts sweats when its cold
• Grey or white t-shirt
• Sneakers

Lunch

• Lunch periods are scheduled with Study Hall
  during periods 4, 5, 6, and 7
• Lunch/Study or Study/Lunch
• Lunch for 20 minutes/Study for 20 min.

What is Lab?

• It is an extension of Math and Language Arts
  classes
• It is one period a day
• Students rotate between Geometry Lab Writing
  Lab each marking period
• Geometry Lab 45 days, MP 1

• Writing Lab 45 days, MP 4

What is Special Area?

• One period 3 different classes
• Music, Spanish, Computers
• Rotate to a new special area every 15 weeks
• Special Area teachers will tell students when the
  new rotation begins and where the class will be
  held
